Byron hosts Michigan State University Comic Art and Graphic Novel Professor Ryan Claytor onto Friday’s edition of the podcast. Ryan is busy promoting the crowdfunding campaign for his new 250 plus page hardcover book, One Bite At A Time, looking back on the creative process of working over two decades as a cartoonist and illustrator. His varied interests have lead him to explore everything from traditional serial comics work to crafting neon signs, putting his illustrations on custom watches, creating fancy pandemic pancakes, and even building cross-stitch patterns from his favorite 8-bit heroes and villains. This is his forth Kickstarter campaign.
Jimmy hosts comics writer Anthony Stokes onto Tuesday’s edition of the podcast. Anthony is busy funding his 8th Kickstarter campaign Intrusive Thoughts #2 after other work that includes Decay issues #1-5, Intrusive Thoughts #1, I Wish the Gods Were Dead #1, and Tap or Die #1. After meeting Anthony at Baltimore Comic Con, Jimmy knew he wanted to have him on the show to talk about comics, his approach to building a fanbase and social media, and what led him to making comics in the first place. He regularly hosts a fan favorite comics writer Spaces series on Twitter/X.
